Strange Night in Quincy!
On Saturday the A&A Motorsports team headed to the 1st ever Civil War Race at the Quincy Speedway.  Andy clocked in 3rd quick, finished 3rd in his heat, and with a 10 pill drawn started 10th in the A Main event.

On the first attempt the 2nd and 3rd rows got together causing a pile up, moving Andy up to the outside of the 3rd row.  On the 2nd start the outside front row driver Lake Dollansky son of Outlaw driver Craig Dollansky spun causing a large pile up in turn 2 which did collect Andy, during the red the A&A Team made repairs to the car and got Andy back out.  After the 3rd start was called back and the front row of Jeremy Burt was sent to the rear of the field, Miles Bishop who originally started 16th was now on the front row, without 1 single lap being completed!

The race was long and drug out but at the end Andy made his way up to 4th place.  Miles Bishop won his 1st ever sprint car race followed by Andy Gregg, Sean Becker and Andy.  Andy is now in 2nd place in the points standings 20 points behind Sean Becker.  Next week the team is back to normal on Friday they will be at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico California for a regular 410 points race and Saturday they will head to Placerville Speedway in the Beautiful Eldorado Hills for a 360 points race,

Win #6 Equals Drama!
Friday night the A&A Motorsports team headed for Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico California for a 410 points show.  Andy was fast time, 3rd in his heat and lined up 4th in the A-main event.  Mark Hall took the early lead but by lap 12 Andy had moved into 2nd and was closing on Hall in heavy lapped traffic.  On lap 15 Andy took the lead but Tim Keading was working his way up as well, with 4 laps to go Tim was chasing Andy to the finish, coming out of turn 4 for the checkered flag Tim made one last attempt on the high side, contact was made as the 2 drivers went for the same piece of racetrack, TK got over the edge of the race track and hit the front stretch wall and Andy went on to his 2nd win of the year at Chico, 6th of the year.  The action did not stop here though, after Andy and Tim took the checkered flag 1 & 2, Andy was coming back around for a cool down lap and TK had turned his car around in turns 1 & 2 drove backwards down the front stretch, found Andy in 3 & 4 and they made heavy contact to the Left Rear of Andy’s car sending both of them flying off the edge of the track causing major damage to both race cars.  It was the closest re-enactment to Cole Trickle in Days of Thunder you could ever ask for.  TK was DQ’d for the night and more punishment is expected this week.  This has become quite the topic of conversation as the message boards are going crazy and the footage can be seen on U-Tube.

Saturday the team headed to the Calistoga ½ Mile for a California Civil War show.  Andy was 3rd quick, 3rd in his heat, and after Brent Keading and Jason Johnson failed to get out of their heats and was the fastest car to get out of his heat race, so when the 8 pill was drawn the team new it was going to be a tough race on the narrow and slick track.  Andy pretty much stayed between 6th & 8th until about mid race when something his the tie rod bending it all the way back into the radiator, causing the car to have about 3” of toe out.  Andy was able to finish the race in 9th.  Tyler Walker won followed by Sean Becker and Brent Keading.

No races Friday, but Saturday the Civil War Series is heading for there 1st ever race at Quincy Speedway in Quincy California.

Frustrating Night!
This weekend was just a Saturday night 410 Golden State Challenge race and Placerville Speedway, as Chico never races on the Friday after Memorial Day.  Andy set quick time for the 2nd time in a row with the Golden State Challenge Series at Placerville he transferred out of his heat and finished 3rd in the Dash for a inside second row starting spot in the A- main, but that’s where the good news stops.  The A-main was just one of those races where nothing really bad happened to Andy, but it just seemed like every time Andy got going somebody would get out of shape in front of him causing him to loose 2 or 3 spots each time, added to that Andy jumping the cushion a few times, the end result was a disappointing 11th place finish.  Since the team in not running for GSC points it really wasn’t that bad of a night, and the car rolled into the trailer in one piece.  This weekend we are back to normal, the A&A team is off to Silver Dollar Speedway for a regular 410 points night and then to Placerville on Saturday for a 360 points show.

Thank you for all your support and the Team is looking forward to this weekend and getting back into winners circle.
